German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Accounting
German term or phrase: Ausweis
Da die Beteiligung am Partnerwerk und die Stromabnahmeverpflichtung bzw. das Stromabnahmerecht zu einem unterschiedlichen Ausweis in der Bilanz führen, muss der Kaufpreis aufgeteilt werden.

Does "Ausweis" mean anything more than "amount/figure" here?

Thanks.

English translation:reword
Explanation:
Ausweis here mean disclosure (as it usually does in accounting texts) but I would reword the phrase (Ausweis in der Bilanz) as

(result in two different) balance sheet items

e.g. As the other long term equity investment in ... and the liability ... result in two different balance sheet items, the purchase price must be divided/allocated (between the items)

agree  RobinB: Actually, "Ausweis" means "presentation" when it refers to primary financial statements, but the solution's OK here. Perhaps not "result in two different..." but "are presented (or: reported) in two different..." And Kaufpreisaufteilung is of course PPA.
