Die Adresse des Gebäudes und der Zugang für alle Mitarbeiter liegen in der Symmetrieachse des kubischen Baukörpers. Die Treppenhalle verbindet über einläufige Treppen und Aufzüge alle Nutzungsbereiche. Die Büro, Labor und Werkstattflächen sind auf vier zweigeschossige Gebäudemodule verteilt. Die stützenfreien Bereiche sind in ihrer Funktion nicht endbestimmt. Sie sind in ihrer Nutzung flexibel, variabel und reversibel. Zweigeschossige Vierendeelträger überspannen die Versuchshallen in Querrichtung, so dass der freie Raum über die gesamte Gebäudelänge uneingeschränkt nutzbar und unterteilbar ist. An den Stirnseiten sind Zwischenbühnen angeordnet, die sich in ihrer Größe den Anforderungen anpassen lassen.

Perhaps you can get out of using "hall" by just calling it the laboratory and describing the large open structure in other ways.
("Halle" is used very liberally in German archi-speak, and it doesn't go so naturally in English).
