German term or phrase: Aufbauschicht
Does anyone have any idea what an "Aufbauschicht" is? I'm translating a counterclaim in respect of architectural services, and the section on "Unterlagen zur Auführungsplanung" says:

"Üblicherweise besteht eine Ausführungsplanung
1) aus einer Planserie im Maßstab 1:50, welche genaueste Angaben (Maße/Baustoffe/*Aufbauschichten* etc.) enthalten
2) aus Detailplänen im Maßstab 1:20 bis 1:1 zu sämtlichen relevanten Baumaßnahmen
..."

My humble attempt so far:
"Generally speaking, implementation planning consists of
1) a series of plans on a scale of 1:50 which contain precise details (dimensions, building materials, *build-up layers* etc.)
2) detailed plans on a scale of 1:20 to 1:1 showing all relevant building works
..."

Since I haven't got a clue what an Aufbauschicht is, apart from that it's obviouly got something to do with layers, and have been unable to find enlightenment on the web, I am having problems translating said Aufbauschichten.

I would be grateful for any help, and if "implementation planning" is the wrong term for "Ausführungsplanung", please put me right :-)

Thanks, Jane

....and "construction shifts" of course, depending on the context. Probably more likely if plan needs to contain working hours, etc.
