"Es schließt sich eine Abfolge verschiedener Elemente an, beginnend mit zweigeschossigen Maisonettewohnungen, die nochmals ein großmaßstäbliches Element in die Fassade bringen. Danach folgen Geschosswohnungen mit vorgelagerten Balkonen." I searched the Web and glossaries for "Geschosswohnung", but couldn't determine whether it refers to multi-story or single-story apartments.

This is highly likely since they are talking about Maisonettewohnungen before which extend over two storeys (BE) / stories (AmE). Further, they say that the Maisonettewohnungen "bringen nochmals ein großmaßstäbliches Element in die Fassade" (i.e. they again add a large-scale element to the façade - the "nochmals" indicates that these are the last large-scale pieces, followed by smaller ones -> hence my inference that these are single-stor(e)y).
