This, I think, is the meaning of the phrase - personally I would leave out grundrisslich as being obvious [that the buildings form part of the ground plan]. I am sure, however, that a more sophisticated rendering could be found.

or rather the points at which the buildings interconnect. Could be 'hubs', for instance, BUT it would be very helpful to have an image of the facade/ground plan if available, or a more detailed description, since these are obviously protruding elements of the facade - ref Risalit.
