Rückbau (partial) demolition / removal Explanation: Rückbau is a German euphemism very common in urban planning/architecture, usually denoting demolition or removal of buildings or other structures. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 mins (2004-06-24 07:14:26 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Here, the problem seems to be that 20% of the apartments (WE = Wohneinheiten) are empty/vacated, a fact that may lead to considering partial demolition of the complex. Sounds like East Germany, if you ask me. |
