relationship crunch

Explanation:
First, you get to know each other in an informal, group situation. Beziehungskiste is jargon( of the generation 50 and younger?) for the" troubles and tribulations" of a relationship.
Relationship crunch seems to describe the same thing:
"You sound each other out, find out about past relationships and common interests. You may note a few troublesome signs but everything else sounds good. Then, you move to one-on-one interaction: you spend time together, talking endlessly about your needs and expectations and whether or not you're a good 'fit'. You decide that you are. There's the thrill of anticipation and, as things roll on, the giddy highs of trying so, so hard to please. Do they like me? Did I do that ok? And then you start to realize... I'm not getting what I need out of this. Everything has changed. This isn't what I thought I was getting into! It's the three- month relationship crunch. "
