What kind of flags are these; is that an "interrupt" module that doesn't need to "rescue" the variables then???
Also, can anyone tell me how to access the Siemens glossary mentioned in answers to my previous query -- is it published/available to the general free-lancing public? TIA, Beth

that concern more than one line; pointer

Explanation:
"ubergreifend means extending beyond the limits of a thing, in this case one line. These comments would concern issues broader than the extent of those addressed on a single line.
Eurodicautom calls a Merker a pointer, and defines it, for programming. (Shows the location of data.) Schmier means grease, and a grease marker is used in construction for marking things. Clearly here we need the programming pointer.
I believe the word gerettet is an attempt to say saved. The kind of variables one declares at the beginning of a routine in programming determines how they are saved and what portions of the program they are available to and defined for. So they can use these definitions instead of pointers to manage their variables.
