German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / Suspension system
German term or phrase:aufgeschoben
From a specification for the design of a car suspension top mount
"Das Design des Stützlager ist so zu wählen, dass eine geschlossene Federunterlage aufgeschoben werden kann."
"The design of top mount chosen must allow a sollid spring washer to be fitted."
I´m rather unsure about the use of ''geschoben'' here - is fitted correct (as in ''slide on'' I´m thinking). I have a nasty suspicion that I´ve actually misunderstood this completely.
Also, if anyone´s feeling generous, is ''solid'' the right word to describe the spring washer, or should it be "closed"?
Thank you kindly for any and all comments and suggestions.
