German term or phrase: Geschäftsstelle
Well, I know what the word means, but in this context I'm unsure as its seems like tautology: Seit 1967 hat er seinen Sitz und die Geschäftsstelle in Düsseldorf.
office and headquarters (isn't office implicit in headquarters, anyway). I'm not sure why the felt the need to use the word Geschäftsstelle in addition to Sitz - any ideas?

business premises
Explanation:
The distinction applies in cases where the registered office (i.e. the place where the company is legally registered) differs from the actual business premises.

Probably less frequent in Germany, but quite normal, for instance, in the UK.
