geldwerter Vorteil

English translation: The non-cash benefit ...

German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial
German term or phrase: geldwerter Vorteil
"Der geldwerte Vorteil der privaten Nutzung des Firmenwagens wird als steurpflichtiger Sachbezug behandelt."
In an agreement on the use of a company car.

I could also need some help with "Sachbezug". I used "tangible benefit" - does anybody have a better suggestion?

Thanks,
Anja

monetary benefit (?)

Explanation:
geldwerter Ausgleichsbetrag m FINANZ monetary compensatory amount
I did not find "geldwerter Vorteil" but the above. Maybe this translates similar.

Sachbezug m GESCHÄFT, PERSON allowance in kind, benefit in kind, nonmonetary compensation, nonmonetary reward, payment in kind, STEUER, VERSICH benefit in kind

Sachbezüge m pl PERSON nonpecuniary returns

Sachbezüge pl payment in kind

I hope you find something helpful among those terms.

nonmonetary/pecuniary advantage

Explanation:
In this context I would suggest

"The non-monetary/pecuniar advantage of the private use of the company car is treated as taxable remuneration in kind."

financial benefit--tax matter

Explanation:
The financial benefit arising out of private use of the company vehicle is
treated as taxable matter.

Sachbezug=receipt in kind, matter (pertaining to something), renumeration
etc. etc.

I think who ever suggested financial for
monetary benefit is on the right track.
You would not say in English "the monetary benefit of the private use . . . " you always say "financial."

steuerpflichtiger Sachbezug in essence
is: eine Sache (a matter), die die Steuerpflicht betrifft/sich auf die
Steuerpflicht bezieht, also eine Steuersache/steuerliche Angelegenheit.
Unter Steuersache one finds in Muret-Sanders: tax matter;
Anyway, good luck,
Lis
