Since the increase was stated numerically I used "increase in portfolio value " plus a footnote: For me, the mystery remains how a service company with XX billion in annual sales can have a "portfolio" six times as large. I still think it must be the stock value/market value of the company, perhaps including stakes in partially owned companies. Any aditional comments (E-mail is OK) will be appreciated. Explanation:
The answer from "Parrot" is correct but a little long for a title. This is a shorter and I think better version. It also keeps the structure of the original, leaving room for still a different category of portfolio growth.
