Bus/Financial
German term or phrase: Kundenbindung
Diese Dienstleistung soll einen neuen und effektiveren Weg zur Kundenbindung entstellen.
A company is supplying customised information management solutions.
English translation:customer retention
Explanation:
I would use "customer loyalty" or "customer rentention", and your context seems to point towards the latter, i.e. customer retention, although either term would probably be fine.
Customer linkage, on the other hand, is something that I have never heard of and would most certainly not use.

A German client of mine, who operates also in the US, uses "customer loyalty" for Kundenbindung.

Also, if you are interested, the term Kundenbindung was the subject of two previous ProZ queries, and you might find some useful information there.

Thank you for your help this fits the context I have - it is later described as a tool for CRM. Thanks also to all the others who suggested other possibilities.

Among other things, the customized information management solutions you mention are designed to increase customer loyalty. That's what CRM (customer relationship management) is all about.
