German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial
German term or phrase: Gemeindetarifbereich + Tarifpunkt-Nr.
Gemeindetarifbereich: Gelsenkirchen-Buer
Tarifpunkt-Nr. : 16 901

Is this to do with council tax. If so I wonder why a company would issue this information to a potential supplier?
Michael Dollman
English translation:see below
Explanation:
If this is connected with your transport translation, it probably means the transportation/forwarding rate area for Gelsenkirchen-Buer. Rate Point 16901 is maybe the cost for transportation of some Einheit, tonne or cubic meter or something into that area.

Explanation:
Here, "Tarif" isn't a matter of tax, but of "wage scale" (which explains why one company would reltte this to another). As such, I would suggest using "local/regional wage scale area." A Tarifpunkt is subordinate to the regional scale. Perhaps "wage scale point/clause". HTH, Will
