German term or phrase: Kundenbindungskarte, Kundenbindungssystem
Hello all,
the first word is simply part of a list, here is the context for the second:
fr individuelle Kundenbindungssysteme einsetzen.
I'm thinking 'debit card' and a 'tab'. Is this correct? Does anybody have a better word than 'tab' for Kundenbinungssystem?

customer loyalty/bonus/reward/appreciation card/system
Explanation:
I think it goes more in this direction than tab (which I don't understand in this context).

These words were so buried in payment methods, that I didn't think in terms of customer incentives!
I will use customer bonus card/system.

(I'll pass on tying my customers up!)

customer relations card, customer relations system

Explanation:
First, let us look at the concept of “Kundenbindung” as defined on the following web page:

http://www.winforms.phil.tu-bs.de/winforms/company/solaic/lo...

Based on this explanation, I would conclude that the terms i question are merely euphemisms for “frequent buyer” or “customer loyalty” schemes.

The question for the translator, then, is whether to use the euphemism as is or to turn it inside out. I would go for maintaining the façade of “customer relations,” but I leave that decision to you.

frequent buyer card / customer reward card

Explanation:
If you can be somewhat flip in your translation, a take-off on the "frequent flyer" rewards system might work, and maybe you could use "frequent buyer card" and "frequent buyer system".

Two large US supermarket chains have (had, one chain has since discontinued it) such programs in place, in one case, the card is simply called a "Club Card" which one slides through a card reader at the checkout counter, and then receives discounts on certain items (these items are, of course, prominently marked on the shelves). The other chain called its card the "Rewards Card", principle and operation were exactly the same. That would seem to be exactly what your context is describing, so you might see if "rewards card" or even "frequent buyer card" (and, in analogy, rewards system and frequent buyer system) will work in your text.

HTH!
