German term or phrase: vertragsausfertigung - more context
Thank you everyone who has attempted to help me so far.
The term actually appears as the heading of a clause which reads "Die Vertragsparteien beknnen hiermit jeweils ein rechtsverbindlich unterzeichnetes Exemplar dieses Vertrages erhalten zu haben."
I believe it should be something in the area of the execution or the issue of the agreement.

English translation:"Copies of the Contract" / "Execution" but not transcript
Explanation:
I would avoid transcript (which implies that the original contract may exist in some other form (eg. oral, notarised record etc).

I think you can head this term 'Execution'. For all you sceptics, please note the German heading reads *Vertragsausfertigung* and not *Vertragsausfertigungen*. Think a little about the difference - the former may well refer to the 'process'.

In English langauge contracts it's absolutely standard to have a final provision headed "Execution" stating that the parties execute the contract by signing and delivering it. or e.g. stating that in can be executed in several counterparts. If you prefer to err on the side of caution then go with copies of the contract.

Note: I am happy to be graded by my *peers* however I find the tenor of some of the recent remarks accompanying low grades unnecessarily agressive. In the interests of fostering a 'community' (the only way schemes like this work), can I put in a request for people to be less brutal and more constructive. Thanks.

Thank you very much. I'm sorry you're getting rude remarks - I never do. I gave you 3 instead of 4 because your answer came in after I returned the translation, but I think I'll pass the suggestion of execution onto my client anyway (Like I said - I believed it should be this, but did not know for sure).

transcript/copy of contract

Explanation:
As someone commented, "contract issue" is dead wrong. Still is.
Again,in this case "Vertragsausfertigung" does not mean issue, but most likely contract "transcript" or "copy".
