German to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial
German term or phrase:Tarifkunde
It appears in a "Bilanz" under Umlaufvermoegen / Current assets: Forderungen aus Lieferungen und Leistungen abzueglich der an Tarifkunden berechneten Teilbetraege auf die Jahresverbrauchsabrechnung.
Explanation: Tarifkunden are customers that by law are to be served by public utility companies at rates published in tariff sheets. In this context I suggest flat rate customers over tariff customers as the former is more clear.
Explanation: A Tarifkunde is not a Pauschalkunde (flat rate customer). - A Tarifkunde is one who buys at the regular/normal/tariff/standard rate/price, whether required by law or for any other reason (customer size, customer history, etc). - This would be contrasted to customers who buy at individually negotiated prices. - See Hamblock/Wessels - GroßWöBu Wirtschaftsenglisch
standard rate customers - general tariff customers
Explanation: I agree with Mccrosky's posting, it's not a flat rate customer.
"Tarifkunden sind Kunden, die nach dem Energiewirtschaftsgesetz (§ 6 Abs.1), gemäß AVBEltV und auf Grundlage der BTOElt zu den Allgemeinen Tarifen des EVU aus dem Niederspannungsnetz versorgt werden." -> http://www.stromkosten.de/lexikon/lexikon.htm
