German term or phrase:Kosten des WB
From a business letter regarding a benchmarking project:
Information sources to be used for the project include a
"Modell zur Schätzung der Kosten des WB."
I think "WB" may refer to "Wettbewerber" because shortly before the above item, the writer states that one of the "Benchmark-Ziele" is a "Vergleich mit einzelnen Wettbewerbern."
Would "Kosten des WB" simply be "the competition's costs"?
Explanation: I don't want to bet my granny's bungalow on it, but it seems to me that your guess is right. No other use of "WB" as an abbreviation (I looked!) makes any sense, unless it's an internal company abbreviation or code or something like that.
