surplus / profit Explanation: Zahn defines "Überschuß" as profit or excess. This term often also is used in balance sdheets for profits, i.e. the surplus from trade after costs. Überschußanteil = profit participation. In many life insurance plocies you will be paid out a participation of profits made with the premiums you have paid in. Kostenüberschußanteil = participation in cost surplus Teilüberschuß = partial surplus / partial profit (usually for a time period during the term of the policy and before the Schlußüberschußanteil = final profit participation (at the en,d of the term of a policy, for instance one that is paid out at a certain date) HTH |
