English translation:mid-field ranking
Explanation:
See the following site:

Structural Monitoring - International Benchmarking of Denmark ...
... Comparisons show that Denmark achieves a mid-field ranking among 11 of the most affluent
OECD countries when ranked by GDP per capita for the economy as a whole ...
www.fm.dk/uk/pubuk/benchmark00_uk/kap03.htm

Even if the context involves a company, mid-field ranking should fit!
Good luck!

20 mins
nation-wide average position

Explanation:
I don't think that this is center (Mittelpunkt). This is not localization but statistics. Therefore my best guess is average or middle position

average or medium ranking

Explanation:
The nationwide average ranking seems to refer to a more general measure of the spitzen ranking. Often clients speakand write for themselves rather than with adequate clarity for a translator. You may want to contact your client to clarify what he meant. Mittelplatz is not in my Langenscheidts, which does not bode well for the term. In my experience, Germans love their language and will take some liberty with it. Please let me know how it goes.
