German term or phrase: Versorgungsfalles
Relating to a pension scheme - qualifying period of 10 years needed before employees can join the Versorgungsfall. Is it just a type of pension scheme or does it cover a broader range than this?

Explanation:
A "Versorgungsfall" is an event giving rise to retirement benefits according to the Romain Dictionary of Legal and Commercial Terms. In trying to reconstruct the original German sentence, could it have said something along the lines of employees not being eligible to receive retirement benefits because of a particular event before the end of 10 years.

pension case

Explanation:
A Versorgungsamt is a pension office (Langenscheidt) but a Fall is a case. It can mean a case where the pension has to supply something, etc. The URL below says if such a case occurs, the pension administration is to be notified.

Versorgungsfall

Explanation:
Dear jP,

Could your text be talking about a pension plan, meaning a set of parameters for a particular package of benefits?

Hope this helps.

Explanation:
Versorgungsfall (SozV, Vers) insured event (ie, in the case of social insurance or pension fund)
Schäfer, Hyperbook

I think a Versorgungsfall might be a bit broader than just a pension scheme. For instance, it would be a Versorgungsfall if a worker became permanently disabled and were thus entitled to collect social security.

For your context, though, the translation found in Romain would seem to suffice.
