how is the word 'zufolge' used? 'zufolge' is a preposition and it's put before or after its object? B.s, einem Bericht zufolge order zufolge einem Bericht?

I was also surprised to see this question come up again after all these years. I rarely offer an opinion on the German language any more. I certainly respect the opinions of the German native speakers. For the sake of discussion, what do you think of the following statements?
