German to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
German term or phrase: Anlagen
In the same letter about how much money someone gets for a patent they helped with.
In unserem Schreiben vom xxxx ist die verguetung mit DM xxx angegeben worden, und zwar fuer Vier Anlagen und ohne Risikoabschlag."
Also, can anyone confirm "risk discount" for "Risikoabschlag"?
Thanks

English translation:systems / installations
Explanation:
systems = electronoc/digital
installations = mechanical
plant = factory in general
facility = any place of tech or nontech activity (in German, one would say "Komplex")
schriftliche Anlage = enclosure

Usually, one speaks of "risk premium", ein "Aufgeld" where risk is present. Where there is no risk, there is no need for a discount, I would imagine.

facilities

Explanation:
Depending on your exact context, "Anlagen" could mean "facilities" or "plants" - for example, the patented technology may be used in the construction of 4 facilities for which your client will be compensated.

Otherwise, "Anlagen" could be "schedules", "appendices", etc.

And yes, you are right on "Risikoabschlag" (see link below).
