German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng / Protocols and SOPs
German term or phrase: Doppelvisum
This appears in a manufacturing SOP. What it means is, a second person has to approve the action or info by signing his initials. What is the short term in English for this? (Doublecheck doesn't quite fit, in my book)
Hint: 'Visum' apparently is commonly used in Swiss German to mean 'approval'. (A person would sign after the word 'Visum' to indicate he approved the action.

agree  Jonathan MacKerron: "counter-sign" should work here

  -> thanks Jonathan :)

agree  Jack Becconsall: counter-sign seems good, but as Visum is a noun, the glossary entry (if chosen) should be "counter-signature"
