German term or phrase:Musicalpflaster
.....auf das Genre Musical generell, aber auch auf das “heiße Musicalpflaster Wien” im Speziellen.
Namhafte Musicalstars geben selbstironische Einblicke ins Showgeschäft, und werfen in dieser satirischen Revue einen kritischen Blick auf das Genre Musical generell, aber auch auf das “heiße Musicalpflaster Wien” im Speziellen.
Here is the full sentence.
I am aware that more context helps, but I explained this in my previous note to you. I am not upset at being asked for more context but at how I was asked in a previous posting. There is also a technical reason due to the format the client sent the doc in as to why it is difficult to post the original and I have to type it all out - I cannot cut and paste - if I spend considerable time doing this I will never finish the translation!

hot, competitive musical scene
Explanation: 'Heisses Pflaster' is an expression in German that comes close to 'hot tin roof'. Literally translated 'hot asphalt', it can mean anything from lively and ecstatic over hot and competitive to downright dangerous.
Look at your context and decide what is really meant bei 'heisses Pflaster' in this case.
