German to English translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
German term or phrase:mithervorbringen
Der provozierende Umgang mit der Kamera zählt auch zu einer der entscheidenden Strategien in Medienprojekten bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler seit den 1960er und 70er Jahren, welche die performative Dimension des Filmens ergründen, so dass „das Ereignis durch die Aufzeichnung **mithervorgebracht**, zumindest aber die Aufzeichnung an ihrem Gegenstand maßgeblich und bewusst beteiligt wird.
Thank you everybody! It was on the draft as "co-created" for some time (I couldn't hash "contribute" into the participle), but despite the objections to the word "produce", it's still a question in the field as to how far "creation" takes place ex-nihilo, which is accepted in art on the basis of concepts, even as video still has some way to go. This was what Armorel resolved for me, and the easier way out of the debate. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
it wouldn't be my first choice because of its use in the production of an event/film in the sense of supervising the whole filmmaking process or the financial aspect or it may imply that it is one of only two factors that are responsible for creating the event or that we are talking about co-producers (people).
Having said that, I think a different word would be better here than producing.
