German term or phrase: releasesicher
"Releasesichere Erweiterung von Eingangsschnittstelle, Provisionsregel und Datenspeicher." The document I'm working on, an introduction to insurance commission software, doesn't necessarily talk about different releases or versions, but it is does hint at some localization projects that would result in different releases, so I think the release here is at least that kind of release. Does this simply mean that the user's ability to expand these things will be guaranteed regardless of the release s/he has or purchases?

Explanation:
You hinted at two possiblities for expansion: 1. expansion by the software company, 2. expansion by the user. Who is more likely to expand Eingangsschnittstelle etc.? My guess is the software company. I'd venture to guess that this means that anything the user creates will be compatible with future software releases by the software company. HTH!
