Ich vermute stark, dass hier "Serverschrank" gemeint ist, also "server cabinet".

Jedenfalls würde ich in einem Kraftwerk keinen "Surferschrank" vermuten.

Jenseits von Übersetzungsvorschlägen würde mich interessieren, ob ihr Kunden auf solche offensichtlichen Fehler überhaupt aufmerksam machen würdet. Danke!

Well, since you asked, I would use rack for this equipment instead of cabinet.

Also, I would send a note to the client because you are sort of stretching it here. Whenever I guess at a translation, I always put out a 'CYA' note that states that I did not find it but am giving an educated guess. It has never hurt yet.
