Ist die Installation eigenständig, weil sie von allein steht? Oder wurde das Gebilde eigenständig von der Firma installiert, i.S.v. ohne die Unterstützung von Partnerunternehmen?

This would be a building that although build as an expo or fair building, is a permanent structure within one of the halls. I know that the CeBit in Hannover has quite a few of those. Anyway it means that the installation (building) can not be remove and moved somewhere else after a show

Ich glaube das dann die Meinung des Satzes wie er geschrieben ist geaendert wird. Aber in diesem Falle wuerde ich dann sagen das man eigenstaendige mit "unassisted" oder "as single contractor" uebersetzen kann.
Ich hoffe das dieses hilft und send Gruesse aus Jacksonville, Florida ueber den grossen Teich

Asker: Mir wurde soeben vom Kunden erklärt, dass es eine nicht zu verachtende Leistung sei, so eine große Konstruktion ohne Fremdunterstützung zu errichten - aber wie ich anhand der Antworten sehe, war es doch nicht ganz eindeutig. Vielen Dank für die "permanent construction" - haben Sie vielleicht noch einen Vorschlag, wie ich möglichst elegant sagen könnte, dass es die Firma selbst war? Grüße aus Leipzig :-)
