German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering
German term or phrase:TGA-Fachplaner, TGA-Büro
Something to do with the construction industry? It's in a list of people in a company's target group: architects, owner-builders, housing companies etc.
Trying to find an idiomatic English equivalent is a bit more difficult. "Technical facilities in/of buildings" came to mind, as did "technical equipment...", but these terms only resulted in hits from European (non English speaking) countries. One quick example below:
We have gained broad experience in our consulting activities for technical facilities in buildings. Examples include technical systems for offices, schools, prisons, courts, old people’s homes, home furnishing shops, multiplexes, car parks, workshops, museums, and also for private houses and renovation projects. www.halmos.nl/uk/halmos_uk_introduction.htm
Gelbrich/Reinwaldt suggests "[building] services (mit allen Versorgungsleitungen)" for technische Gebäudeausrüstung
You'll have to see if you can work with that within your context; it sounds a bit vague to me - but maybe that's not a bad thing...
Anyway, hope this helps
