Die sechs vom Akkreditierungsrat akkreditierten Agenturen haben insgesamt bislang ca. 1500 Bachelor- und Masterstudiengänge, die von staatlichen oder staatlich anerkannten Hochschulen in Deutschland angeboten werden, akkreditiert. Das bedeutet, dass derzeit etwa 35% der angebotenen Bachelor- und Masterstudiengänge, die wiederum ca. 35% der insgesamt angebotenen Studiengänge ausmachen, das Siegel des Akkreditierungsra-tes tragen. Von den 1500 akkreditierten Bachelor- und Masterstudiengängen sind über 50% mit Auflagen akkreditiert worden, wohingegen lediglich in 30 Fällen die Akkreditie-rung jeweils durch Beschluss der zuständigen Akkreditierungskommission versagt wurde. Von der Möglichkeit, den Antrag auf Akkreditierung vor Abschluss des Verfahrens zurück-zuziehen, wurde bisher nach Angaben der Agenturen in 18 Fällen Gebrauch gemacht. Die Anzahl akkreditierter Diplomstudiengänge stellt mit ca. zehn Studiengängen eine ***zu vernachlässigende Größe*** dar.
