German term or phrase: Abitur am Wirtschaftsgymnasium abgelegt.
Ich habe 1994 mein Abitur am
Wirtschaftsgymnasium abgelegt.

I graduated 1994 from the
Commercial High School/
Higher School of Economics
anglist
English translation:I obtained my school-leaving exam (A levels)
Explanation:
This is a tough one. For one thing it depends on whether you want US English or UK. The above suggestion is for UK English. I think your choice of commercial school is a good one, but have doubts about "higher school of economics." As a Yank I really don't know if the Brits have a commercial grammar school. The US equivalent would be I graduated in 1994 from a German commercial high school.

Wirtschaftsgymnasium ...

Explanation:
I graduated from Wirtschaftsgymnasium (...explain...)

I obtained my A levels from Wi...

I obtained my high school diploma from Wi..

In my opinion you should explain Wirtschaftsgymnasium to emphasize the client's skills:

Langenscheidt: grammar school emphasizing the study of economics

Oxford Duden: grammar school placing emphasis on economics, law and business studies
