German term or phrase: Ziehelement
Hi folks.

Talking about testing a quartz oscillator. The sentence:
Die Frequenzabweichung wird mit Hilfe der Ziehelemente L1, C7 kompensiert.

Earlier, there is the sentence:
Mit L1 bzw. C7 kann die Quarzfrequenz nach unten bzw. nach oben gezogen werden.

Now, in Wernicke, I find Ziehelement: load element and I have used that for want of a better term. While technically correct, it does not have the frequency-adjusting nuance present in the German.

In Engineerese, the capacitor and inductor are "pulling" the freqency up or down. However, "pulling elements" just does not cut it.

Any suggestions?

frequency-adjusting components
Explanation:
I agree that although you can talk about pulling the frequency of a crystal, the components used for this purpose are not commonly called 'pulling elements' or 'pulling components' in English.
My approach would be to simply reword the translation as necessary -- e.g., 'the frequency deviation of the crystal is compensated by the freqeuncy-adjusting components L1 and/or C7', or 'the crystal frequency is pulled to the desired freqency by L1 and/or C7'.
