German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Energy / Power Generation
German term or phrase: Netzbetrieb, LKW, PSW
List of documents relating to correspondence between authorities and power station operators. Little context therefore but Netzbetrieb appears to be a term referring to power supply for a region rather than just 'power on' and LKW and PSW appear to be types of power station or terminal 'documentation for LKW Entenhausen 1994'.

Thanks to everyone. Tom's answer on Netzbetrieb fit best into the text. LKW cropped up again in the next section the client sent - as "Laufwasserkraftwerk" - lucky!

Explanation:
Tom seems to be on the right track, with PSW being Pumpspeicherwerk = pump storage power station (ie., used with off-peak power to pump water into a lake or large holding basin and then used to generate electricity when needed at peak-demand. Refer to PSW Geesthacht near Hamburg.

LKW has, in this case, nothing to do with trucks. It is just the plain old Leistungskraftwerk (= power station).
