Thanks for your answer. The "operation" part of your answer was spot on but the grid part turns out to be industry-specific and should read "transmission" (so my customer tells me). Grid also gives the impression we are talking electricity but APPARENTLY it's just to do with gas (which from the text just wasn't apparent to me at all). ;-)
