German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Energy / Power Generation / Power Station management
German term or phrase: handlungsspezifisch
"Handlungsspezifisch" is used here mainly as a part of headings, i.e. with "Qualifikationen" and "Prüfungen".

In my text, the concept of **Handlungsspezifische Qualifikationen** is an important part of a description of a training course for shift supervisors in power stations. The idea seems to be that trainees are trained to deal with different kinds of systems encountered in power stations (rather than how to act in specific situations), so I'm tending towards "operational" but would love to hear other suggestions!

A related expression here which may help is "Handlungsbereich" as in: Das Kernstück der Kraftwerksmeisterprüfung bilden drei Situationsauf-
gaben im zweiten Prüfungsteil **„Handlungsspezifische Qualifikationen“.** Die drei **Handlungsbereiche**
• Kraftwerkssysteme,
• Elektro- und Leittechnik,
• Organisation und Personalführung
stellen jeweils den Schwerpunkt in einer Situationsaufgabe dar. Die schriftlichen Prüfungen im ersten Teil finden jährlich im Mai und
November vor der IHK statt.

Explanation:
IT's a possible!
Actually, I think operational is good. For Handlungsbereiche I would use "sphere of activity".
