bending elastic / bending resistant suspension Explanation: biegen = to bend elastisch = elastic biegeelastisch = which bends in abn elastic way, ie not only bendable but tha comes back to the previous position if the constraint disappears. Flexible does not necessarily mean that. steif = rigid, not flexible. biegesteif = that resists to bending constraints. For me deflection is here inappropriate, it would be OK for a rod that is fixed at both extremities and that you try to bend by applying a force in the middle (Durchbiegung). my modest knowledge in this matter |
