German to English translations [PRO] Medical - Esoteric practices / alternative medicine, physiotherapy
German term or phrase:Microkinesi / Microkinesitherapie
It's a French term in origin, in German this seems to be the standard translation.
I am looking for the standard term in English. The few web refs I found were improvised translations from German or French. I have problems finding the term/the concept in native UK or US English (posted the term in French-English yesterday, but without much clarifying success so far...)
Hi Graham, problem is that the English kinesiology is different to the German Kinesiologie, 2 different concepts (good article in the German Wikipedia)...
But I am looking for something different again, the French concept of microkinesitherapie, developed by Daniel Grosjean and Patrice Benini (you'll find an explanation on microkinesi.de). I spoke to my client just now, and she suggests microphysiotherapy as a possibility...
Maybe we need to know what Microkinesi is exactly?! Kinesiology of course = kinesiologi auf deutsch, not 'kinesi'! so why should adding micro change this...?
I have quite a lot of experience of kinesiology but have never heard of microkinesiology.
