Bus/Financial - Finance (general)
German term or phrase: nichtklassisch (in this financial context)
The context once again is a German investment fund that invests in a variety of fondsähnliche things, and also invests directly in funds with alternative strategies (by which they mean hedge funds and also "nichtklassische" funds). But English "non-classic" does not sound at all right. Better would be "non-traditional" or "non-standard", perhaps even "progressive", "path-breaking", "pioneering", "out of the ordinary", but not going as far as "revolutionary". Any other suggestions?
