agree  Lancashireman: Good research. I’ve not seen ‘sabayon’ in UK supermarkets but 'Zabaglione' is obtainable at Sainsburys.

agree  writeaway: agree with Andrew-in English the original Italian name Zabaglione is used more often.

agree  Claire Cox: My Larousse gives "sabayon" for English usage; I think it probably depends how it's used. I've heard of "sabayon sauce", but if it's served on its own, then "zabaglione" would be better
