very true, but we don't have any surrounding text - for all we know the letter may be from an angry person who didn't particularly want to be polite - hence my totally straight, unambiguous suggestion.
It would be helpful to know whether the documents are part of a letter or an email attachment. If a letter then I would also agree with Sebastian (even with the word "required") and AllegroTrans. Translations do not have to be literal and we can "elaborate" within the intended context. English is a polite language and "pleases" and "thank-yous" never go amiss.
