Die Geschichte pflegt zu großen Ereignissen ihre kleinen Fußnoten zu schreiben. Die Fußnote zur Verschwörung gegen Hitler schrieb am neunzehnten Jahrestag ein Richter in Wilhelmshaven. Er nämlich schickte zum 20. Juli 1963 den Mann, der am 20. Juli 1944 der offizielle Held des Tages war, ins Gefängnis — jenen Otto Ernst Remer, der damals in Berlin das ***Seine*** dazu beigetragen hatte, den Aufstand der Patrioten niederzuschlagen.
