German term or phrase: 'Männerförderung'
The term 'Männerförderung' (in quotation marks) is a sub-headline in a sustainability report (Austria).
Target audience: shareholders, stakeholders, general public.
Context:
"... [gibt es] verstärkt Anfragen nach Teilzeitbeschäftigungsformen für männliche Mitarbeiter sowie Anfragen betreffend Väter-Elternteilzeit oder Väterkarenz."

"affirmative action for men" and "promotion of men" seem a bit controversial, although "quotations" will somewhat alleviate this effect. However, I would prefer a term that better reflects the context, i.e. rather innovative corporate measures to enhance the work/life balance of male employees who are fathers.

Many thanks,
Nora

agree  orla: without leave as its also about working part time etc-rights, benefits?cant agree that it covers part-time work too-regulations governing paternity leave(not just "leave")specify exactly what it means-not working at all for a certain period!

-> Thanks, Orla. Strictly speaking its still leave even if its only part-time.

neutral  Steffen Walter: This is but one aspect (see asker's context: "Teilzeitbeschäftigung" etc).

-> Definition von "leave" in Chambers' Dictionary: u.a. "permitted absence from duty" - ob ganz oder z.T wird nicht spezifiziert.

Statutory paternity leave is two weeks' paid leave after your baby is born. You have to take this leave as a block of either one or two weeks.

Flexible working

All parents of children under six, or disabled children under 18, have the right to apply to work flexibly and your employer has a duty to consider your request seriously.

Flexible working includes changing your hours of work, switching to part-time hours, job-sharing and working from home.
