Text from a Swiss Reinsurance company email discussing "Embedded Value":

*diese Retrozession is in ABC und XYZ Bilanzen 1999 und GAAP 2000 noch nicht beruecksichtigt, da noch kein Vertrag unterzeichnet war. Dies is Anfang 2001 erfolgt; ein eventueller Nachreservierungsbedarf fuer die VA ist damit vollstaendig in GAAP 2001 zu beruecksichtigen.

I've searched the web and Wikis, but can't find an accounting term in English that seems to fit. I started with "post-reserving requirement," but it doesn't make sense.

Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my first question to the board here. Thanks.

From my time in Lloyd's, I cannot think of a set fixed phrase for this. Depending on how you want to translate the rest of the sentence, you could use the above.
