which business sectors Explanation: Using "domains" would indeed be confusing, even if correct. If they had meant "domains" in the Internet sense, then I think they would have said "Bereichsnamen" or "Domänenname". I doubt the alternative of 'business sector' could be tracked by software so easily, so find that solution unlikely. domains Explanation: Your first instinct was right (and so is Academic), the system tracks the domain which referred the visitor to the website. Last year, I was involved in translating a tracking software package -- it was quite an eye opener to find out how much information on the visitor can be collected. Tracking the referring domain or the referring website is very common.
