Tech/Engineering - Journalism / website
German term or phrase: mot
This word (abbreviation?) comes from www.bosch.de (although I have not been able to trace it there). Here is the context:

Parklücken sicher und komfortabel nutzen.
Der Bericht von mot zum Thema:
"Besser einparken mit Ultraschall, Bosch-Parkpilot zum Nachrüsten."
(mot Nr. 2/98; mot.pdf, 216KB)

(no capitals there)

English translation:mot magazine
Explanation:
mot is a German car magazine. I am not sure if they are still around but you still find quotes and excerpts online. (I still recall their radio commercials from the 80s/90s)

Example:

"mot" Magazine, Issue 26/1992, Page 72 (Article about the introduction of the BMW E36 M3 3.0, Euro Spec.)"

agree  writeaway: I preferred MOT to AutoMotorSport because it seemed less tied to Volkswagen/Mercedes-you couldn't predict the outcome of their comparison tests. Volkswagen/Mercedes didn't win them all (unlike AMS) ;-)
