Maybe two questions in one: is the second part of the phrase a mistake in the contract? That is, should 'Auftragnehmer' be used twice, or should the second use of the term more properly be 'Auftraggeber'?

For the first part of the sentence, is the verb 'to cede'?

Sollte Eigentum des Auftragnehmers durch Vermischung, Verbindung mit einem Grundstück oder Verarbeitung bzw. Umarbeitung erlöschen, so tritt der Auftraggeber die hieraus gegen den neuen Eigentümer entstehenden gesetzlichen Vergütungsansprüche schon jetzt zur Sicherung der Forderungen des Auftragnehmers aus der Geschäftsbeziehung an den Auftragnehmer ab.
