slight fault/negligence, ordinary negligence
Explanation:
Eichborn – "Der kleine Eichborn" Wirtschaft und Wirtschaftsrecht Wörterbuch, Langenscheidt and Hamblock/Wessels "Großwörterbuch Wirtschaftsenglisch" more or less agree and show:

"Fahrlässigkeit" = "want of care, carelessness, negligence, neglect"

"grobe Fahrlässigkeit" = "recklessness, gross negligence/carelessness"

"bewusste grobe Fahrlässigkeit" = "willful/wanton negligence"

"leichte Fahrlässigkeit" = "slight fault/negligence, ordinary negligence (US)

"mitwirkende Fahrlässigkeit des Verletzten" = "contributory negligence"

"schuldhafte Fahrlässigkeit" = "culpable negligence"

There is also a "slight" difference in US usage for "negligence" and "carelessness". "Carelessness" and "recklessness" are very often used for such behavior when operating a motor vehicle and "negligence" for other activities.

In the US "reckless driving" ("grobe Fahrlässigkeit am Steuer") is much worse than "careless driving" ("leichte Fahrlässigkeit am Steuer").
