This one has really stumped me. The only context I can give you is: "Bringschuld - wird überlicherweise". It is listing the various types of legal obligations (Bringschuld, Holschuld, Schickschuld) and making various comments after them, as this one for Bringschuld. Any help? I would much rather be outdoors today instead of trying to get to grips with this legal jargon!!

Explanation:
The correct German phrase is "wird üb*licherweise". However, there is something missing behind. "Bringschuld - wird üblicherweise" doesn't make any sense as a definition (text cut off?). Or is this because you did not quote the whole phrase/sentence? If yes, please add the rest.

Could also be that the author didn't know how to work with tables or columns in PP and thus used dashes to 'separate' the columns, or some variant involving a bit of 'helpful' automatic formatting by PP.

IMHO, the additional context you just provided is critical. My reading is that 'wird �blicherweise durch Vereinbarung eines Incoterm(s) geregelt' is a comment on the whole lot, and the author probably used some of automatic slide (mis)creation tool.

Trust me, Kenneth, there is NOTHING further that is relevant. I know! Apart from the heading (given in my note above) the entire rest of the slide consists of nothing more than 2 more lines:
Holschuld - durch Vereinbarung eines
Schickschuld - Incoterm geregelt.
That's it. Next slide has nothing to do with this.

Or may be the slide is a 'leader' to the following slide and 'wird �blicherweise' should be understood to introduce the following slides (i.e., read it with an ellipsis after it) - Germans sometimes do rare and wonderful things with syntax.

Akos: there's no such thing as too much context. In this case, which seems to involve some sort of stylistic shorthand, it might help if you provide the text of the entire slide verbatim (except any changes necessary for anonymity).

Thanks for assistance so far. This is legalese in that it is all about the definitions of terms of contract as per the German Civil Code (BGB)and German Commercial Code (HBG).

Es könnte möglicherweise auf Deutsch so geschrieben werden (was ich auch nicht glaube), aber auf Englisch würde man "is usually" so allein nicht dort stehen lassen (IMHO). :-)
