German to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general)
German term or phrase: organisierendes Gesetz
This in reference to a law concerning notaries, and the actions take place in Belgium. To make matters more complicated, this is originally a Dutch document translated into German that I am now translating into English. So the trick is to come up with something in German that may not exist in Germany (or the US)!

Is it a sort of (to use contractual terms) frame or boilerplate law?

agree  Ken Cox: although it's an Act in this case, probably 'la loi du 25 ventôse an XI, contenant organisation du notariat' (French) or 'wet van 25 ventôse jaar XI, tot regeling van het notarisambt' (Dutch), as amended
